How Find Your Sparkk Began: The Story Behind the Sparkk

Sometimes we don’t lose ourselves. We simply lose touch with the parts of ourselves that make us feel alive.

There are moments in life when you realize you’ve been moving so quickly that you haven’t stopped to ask yourself a very simple question:

When was the last time I actually felt like me?

Not productive.
Not responsible.
Not needed.
Not successful.

Just… alive.

That question, in many ways, became the beginning of Find Your Sparkk.

What is a “sparkk”?

When I started imagining this brand, I kept coming back to the idea of a spark.

That tiny flicker inside us that makes us curious.

The part of us that feels connected, creative, playful, hopeful, passionate, grounded, or inspired.

And yet, life has a way of making that spark harder to feel.

Trauma can do it.

Grief can do it.

Anxiety, burnout, difficult relationships, major life transitions, family expectations, heartbreak, and years spent taking care of everyone except ourselves can do it too.

Sometimes there isn't even one defining event.

We simply wake up one day and realize:

I don't feel connected to myself anymore.

I don't believe that means your spark is gone.

I believe it may simply be waiting for you to reconnect with it.

And that is the heart behind Find Your Sparkk.

Why the extra “K”?

Yes, Sparkk has two K's.

It isn't a typo.

The extra K makes the name personal to me. It carries a piece of my own identity into the brand and reminds me that Find Your Sparkk didn't emerge from a textbook or marketing strategy.

It emerged from lived experience, professional growth, curiosity, and my own evolving understanding of what it means to come home to yourself.

But while the name carries a piece of me, the sparkk represents something different for every person.

Your sparkk might be creativity.

It might be confidence.

Movement.

Connection.

Purpose.

Sexuality.

Play.

Peace.

Adventure.

Your voice.

Or simply waking up and feeling interested in your own life again.

There isn't one correct way to find it.

The Body Was Always Part of the Story

My work as a therapist eventually led me deeper into something I had already intuitively understood:

We experience life through more than our thoughts. We experience it through our bodies.

Sometimes we can intellectually understand exactly why we feel the way we do and still feel stuck.

We can tell ourselves to calm down while our heart races.

We can know a relationship is safe while our body braces for rejection.

We can understand that something happened years ago while our nervous system responds as though it is happening right now.

This is part of what drew me toward somatic therapy and the mind-body connection.

Healing isn't always about finding the perfect words.

Sometimes it begins with noticing.

Your breath.

Your shoulders.

The tightness in your chest.

The urge to move.

The instinct to pull away.

The feeling of your feet against the ground.

The moment your body softens.

The moment you realize:

Oh. I'm here.

The Inspiration Behind the Mood Board

When I created the mood board for Find Your Sparkk, I wasn't simply choosing pretty photographs.

I was trying to capture a feeling.

Breath.
Harmony.
Resilience.
Stillness in motion.
Transcendence.
Synchronicity.
Aspiration.
Insight.
Sensorial connection.

These words became part of the visual language of Find Your Sparkk because they represent the experience I hope people begin cultivating in their own lives.

The flowers, sunlight, movement, journaling, nature, hands, bodies and open spaces all represent something important to me:

Coming back into contact with life.

Not a perfectly curated life.

A felt life.

Therapy and Coaching: Two Different Paths

Find Your Sparkk has two distinct sides: somatic therapy and life coaching.

Therapy provides a clinical space to explore mental health, trauma, attachment, relationships, emotional patterns, the nervous system, and experiences that may be keeping someone stuck. My psychotherapy services are provided to clients in California within the scope of my professional practice.

Coaching is different.

Coaching is not psychotherapy or mental-health treatment. It is a space focused more on personal development, clarity, goals, accountability, transitions, confidence, and creating intentional movement toward the life someone wants to build.

Different people need different things at different points in their lives.

Both can begin with curiosity.

Where am I now?

What matters to me?

What have I lost touch with?

What makes me feel alive?

Who am I becoming?

Maybe We Don't Need to Become Someone New

Personal growth is often marketed as transformation.

Become better.

Become stronger.

Become more disciplined.

Become the next version of yourself.

I understand the appeal of that language, but Find Your Sparkk is rooted in a slightly different idea.

Sometimes growth isn't about adding more.

Sometimes it's about remembering.

Remembering what you enjoyed before everything became an obligation.

Remembering what your body feels like when it isn't constantly bracing.

Remembering what you wanted before you became consumed with what everyone else wanted from you.

Remembering your curiosity.

Your boundaries.

Your voice.

Your weirdness.

Your creativity.

Your softness.

Your strength.

Your capacity for joy.

Maybe the person you're searching for isn't some future version of you.

Maybe parts of them are already here.

So, Where Is Your Sparkk?

I don't think your sparkk has to be dramatic.

It might be dancing in your kitchen.

Taking the long way home because the sunset is beautiful.

Painting badly.

Starting therapy.

Leaving something that no longer fits.

Beginning something you've been afraid to try.

Setting a boundary.

Taking a breath before saying yes.

Writing again.

Dating again.

Resting without earning it first.

Laughing until your stomach hurts.

Or realizing that, for the first time in a long time, you're genuinely excited about what might happen next.

Those moments matter.

Pay attention to them.

They may be telling you something.

Because your sparkk doesn't have to arrive like lightning.

Sometimes it begins as the smallest flicker.

And sometimes the work is simply learning how to notice it.

Your sparkk is still there.

Let's find it. ✨
